About
My name is Amy Shelton. I am currently a senior at the University of Oregon studying public relations, communications and economics. In addition, I have cultivated a strong passion for public health, which stemmed from my Peer Health Education internship. I am currently a student worker in the Health Promotion Department at the University Health Center. Here, I work both internally and externally with campus and community resources to function as the outreach and educational component of the Health Center.
Additionally, I have been published as a co-investigator on a research paper, under Audrey P. Garrett, MD, MPH, centering around endometrial cancer and its link to obesity. Consequently, I have been encouraged to continue my education in public health, which has influenced my decision to apply to graduate school in either health promotion and disease prevention or public health policy.
On the other hand, when I am not working or busy with school I enjoy traveling, reading, going to concerts and hanging out with family and friends. Finally, here is a picture from one of my favorite places in the world Antigua, Guatemala.
